Lockout Procedure

Lockout Procedure

Terms

Plain rules for the form and the procedures.

What a procedure is

A procedure is written from the energy sources you enter and checked against OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147. It is only as complete as what you enter. Before you post it, walk the machine, confirm every energy source and isolation point, and have an authorized employee try it. You remain responsible for your energy control program, training, devices and periodic inspections. Electrical work on exposed conductors also falls under 1910.333 and NFPA 70E and is for qualified persons.

Your procedure

A procedure is for use at your own workplace, for the machine you wrote it for. You may print and copy it for that workplace. If it does not match your machine, write to us and we will fix it and send it again.

Links to stores

Some links go to devices on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Those stores sell to you under their own terms.

Limits

The site and the procedures are provided as they are, and are not legal advice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using them beyond the amount you paid us.
